Woodland Awakening
This miniature stop-motion animation brings a hidden world to life inside a real walnut shell.
Hand-cut and carefully hollowed, the shell becomes a tiny home for a small chick character, nestled among textured moss and a sculpted stone. Every element is made by hand at an incredibly small scale, requiring precision, patience, and a close attention to detail.
The animation focuses on a simple moment of discovery — the shell slowly opens to reveal the character inside, inviting the viewer into a quiet, self-contained world.
This piece reflects my approach to animation and making: combining natural materials with handcrafted elements to create small, intimate scenes that feel alive.
